What’s better than ice cream? Ice cream with curb appeal. This entranceway to this little local ice-cream business was looking a little… lost. With a gravel driveway, no clear entry point, and no real welcome, customers were unsure where to go—and first impressions were melting fast.
Before:A nondescript patch of gravel and guesswork. No defined path, no real visual interest, and not much to guide people in.
After:We created a clear, welcoming pathway using large pavers set into a gravel garden that complements the existing driveway. This created both function and form—no more wandering around looking for the door.
To anchor the space and tie into the natural tones, we added a few beautiful feature rocks. Around them, we planted a mix of hardy, drought-tolerant plants like native grasses and Westringia—low-maintenance and built to thrive.
Large, contemporary black planters brought height and structure to the space, helping frame the path and create a subtle, stylish boundary that’s easy to walk around.
The result?A tidy, inviting entrance that enhances the business front, guides foot traffic naturally, and brings a modern, coastal feel that works with the gravel setting—not against it.
