Exhibit A: A Lush Law Firm Balcony

When this law firm approached us, their city balcony was all business: bare, exposed, and not exactly inviting. The goal? Create a space where staff could unwind over lunch and host clients in style.

Before

Before: A concrete box with a view, but little else. No privacy, no planting, and definitely no vibe.

After: We gave the balcony a new lease on life.

  • Created a sense of privacy and enclosure with low-profile trough planters along the railings, ensuring light and views were not blocked.

  • Added a focal point at the far end with a large planter and a statement tree, softening the wall and drawing the eye.

  • Introduced a striking cluster of grey planters in the main area, featuring a tall Podocarpus gracilior for height and a mix of bold, drought-tolerant plants like South African daisies and hardy succulents for color and texture.

  • Enhanced comfort by adding custom-made squabs to the existing bench seats.

  • Defined the space as an outdoor room with a new outdoor rug that beautifully ties everything together.

The result? A modern, welcoming balcony where business meets botanical. Great for a coffee break, a quiet brainstorm, or a glass of wine with a client as the sun goes down.
